These volunteers are here in full operation and are also my companions while I am in Nicaragua, sorting clothes by size, labeling boxes, recycling school supplies, separating pots, pans, and chinaware. They are very poor and work this hard to be rewarded with donations they will never be able to buy, like a TV, a bed, and furniture.
Also a group of Medical students from Notre Dame, Indiana, came for a visit to Nicaragua and helped us to distribute donations. They also went to visit the hospital and talked to the women with cancer. They were astonished to see the poor conditions of the hospital.
